EW!DC Mentor a Finalist for DC LEARNS Award

EW!DC is proud to announce that Jack Jackson, C-SPAN’s Vice President of Administration and Human Resources and fifteen year Reading Mentor for Everybody Wins! DC, was a finalist for the D.C. LEARN’s Literacy Volunteer Award at the 13th Annual Literacy Awards event on Thursday, December 3, 2009.

Chairman Gray Kicks Off 15th Year

Learning experiences come in all shapes and sizes and most often they arrive unexpectedly.  On Thursday, November 5th, DC City Council Chairman Vincent Gray weaved important life lessons while reading Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr. Fox to Reading Mentors and students at Thomson Elementary as part of Everybody Wins! DC’s (EW!DC) 15th Anniversary Kick-off event.
